Terrible Two!!

The West Cowick posse grew last year and I've been waiting for some pics of these two...
Jasper and Bertie live in the middle of the village, (not far from Uncle Ian) with their Dad (David) and Mum (Carol). I love to meet up with them in the fields (prairie lands) or down the other fields (down t'ings) or anywhere so long as we can have a good run about. If we meet up in the village we just spent ages making a tangle of leads to annoy the hoomans!!Anyway, Jasper (little Jasps - do not confuse him with big Jazzy J who is considerably bigger!) is black and white and is really fast at running and likes to be brave and bossy. Bertie is brown and white and we say... "why the long face Bertie?" to him every time we meet him!! He is cheeky and not as bossy but he can also run fast - especially when his Dad isn't looking!

They are brothers. When I first met them they were really, really small and Mum wanted to steal them in her pocket. Now they are just really small, coz they have grown a bit and are nearly full sized even though they are still puppies really. Fink Mum still wants to steal them in her pocket!Anyway, welcome to the posse Little Jasps and Bertie - we finks you are cool and funny!
See how Jasps has a 'special' ear like I do (if you notice on every picture he is using his 'listener' to listen for action) and how Bertie not only has a bit of a long face but he has a sneeky look in his eye.... he is finkin 'don't mess wiv me'!

My new best mate!

This week I made a new best friend. He is called Lewis and he is cool coz he's got a cool hat with many badges on it.
Lewis is six like me and we fink that being six is the bestest thing. I met Lewis at Uncle Ian's house, he was there with 2 other boys (it's funny coz they don't call him Uncle Ian, they call him Grandad!). Anyway, the other boys were really not as much fun as Lewis coz they just kept looking at small square things with wires coming out of them making beep beep noises and they didn't want to go for a walk. They didn't even like licks!
Lewis took me for 2 walks... we went into the fields and Lewis tried out my Mum's whistles, one of them makes a noise wot dogs like and the other one makes a noise like Thomas the Tank Engine - this is what Lewis finked anyway!

We did also go for a walk round the 'big block' coz it was raining and Mum didn't want everyone to get all muddy and messy. Lewis tried running a bit with me and I liked it. Lewis has got a dog of his own, he is called Bailey and he is Brody's brother so he is quite young and he pulls on his lead. Bailey didn't stop at Uncle Ian's but I met him on Sunday.
Me and Mum finks that Lewis is a great new friend and we finks he is unique!! Fanks for taking me for nice walks Lewis - hope you are Uncle Ians (I mean Grandad's) again soon.

Secrets and Promise!

pssst...............

I am SIX!

I been a bit busy this weekend being six... yup I had a birfday and so did Dad so it's been great fun!

Dad got all sorts of pressies, I really liked the look of one in particular - it was a book all about keeping chickens! Fink I might get some fun if Dad gets some chucks... mmm but I do like a scrambled egg so perhaps I'd best be good...

I got a new ball wiv a fluffy squeeker attached, it was fun for a bit then the fluffy squeeker came off and I had two toys! I also got some new noms (I did learn that noms is the word for treats.. Marley and Lola say noms and all their friends say noms, so I say noms now).. any way my new noms are yum. I had to lie down and chillax at the top of the stairs after I ate lots of them (see above).

I love being six, it's great... Dad doesn't like being 43 but I still lick him very much x

Bear Hugs!

One of my good friends, Steve Manning (check out his dog friendly B&B at http://www.primrosebb.co.uk/), sent me these amazing pictures of a polar bear having an encounter with some dogs in frozen Canada.

Polar Bear: I come in Peace... Norbert Rosing ' s striking images of a wild polar bear coming upon tethered sled dogs in the wilds of Canada's Hudson Bay . The photographer was sure that he was going to see the end of his dogs when the polar bear wandered in.

It ' s hard to believe that this polar bear only needed to hug someone!
The Polar Bear returned every night that week to play with the dogs…

even so, am glad there are only friendly bears here - check out Marley and Lola's blog to see their bears in the garden!!
